There was a time in the late 80s when many inner city industrial buildings were transformed into residential ‘loft’ apartments. Often, although the buildings delivered true character, the subdivisions and new walls and fittings were extremely bland and failed to compliment the personality of the original structure. With some re-organising of the plan and transformation of predominant finishes a completely new arrival experience was created and dark obscure rooms became grand and generous once again. A self contained suite was created on the upper mezzanine with the insertion of two pods resembling packing crates. Some items of new furnishing were also selected to render the home more user friendly and comfortable.
